The Global Law Partner Register (GLPR) is being compiled to drive accountability in global law firms. It will:
- Log named partners, firms, and jurisdictions.
- Link them to cases, decisions, and responses.
- Serve as a public reference for misconduct, silence, or complicity.
We are also interested in gaining insights into the end-to-end career lifecycle of a partner across different jurisdictions. This begins with entry into legal education (law school or equivalent), moves through qualification, practice, and partnership, and continues into senior status, retirement, and post-career roles (such as alumni networks, board positions, or regulatory appointments).
This approach allows us to generate insights across all stages of the profession. For example, it can highlight gaps in law school curricula, the pressures of certain practice areas, the ethics of partnership culture, and the influence of post-career roles. By tracing the lifecycle as a whole, we can identify where additional emphasis, reform, or safeguards may be most effective.
